How quickly can a car reach you today?

In the Heraklion-to-Malia corridor a same-day handover is often possible within a few hours of confirming, because that is where our cars and our partners are based. Further west or high into the mountains it takes longer, and in peak arrival hours the roads around the airport slow everything down. The earlier in the day you write, the more we can usually do - a request at nine in the morning has far better odds than one at eight in the evening. We give you a realistic time window in the offer, and we never promise a delivery time we cannot keep.

Important before you count on a car today

Availability, delivery time, vehicle model and final price must always be confirmed before booking. Sending an enquiry does not reserve a car and creates no payment obligation.

Vehicle categories that may be free

• Small cars - the easiest category to find at short notice and the easiest to park in the resorts.
• Compact and family cars - realistic for two adults with luggage or a family of four.
• Automatics - genuinely more limited at short notice, especially in July and August.
• SUVs and crossovers - useful for mountain villages and hillside hotels, usually fewer free.
• 7-seaters and vans - the tightest category; ask as early as you can.

What you need to take the car

• A valid physical driving licence (an EU licence is enough; other licences may need an International Driving Permit).
• A passport or national identity card.
• A payment method - cash or card at handover.
• The main driver's age - from 18 you can drive; under 21 adds a small young-driver fee.

If nothing is free today

High season afternoons do sell out, especially for automatics and seven-seaters. When that happens we tell you straight away and offer the nearest realistic alternative: a different category, a later handover this evening, or a next-day start. Booking a car for tomorrow is almost always easier than for the next two hours.
